The most foolish of choices

Here's something funny about John Mayer. Well, there are lots of hilarious things about John Mayer, but the one that stands out the most to me, is that he's a singer, with longings to be a comedian. That's as heart-wrenchingly laughable in this day-and-age as a comedian with dreams of having his own batch of unbeatable albums.

Oops, did I say unbeatable? I wasn't supposed to reveal that yet, God warned me. Take Jeff Probst, you know, Survivor guy? I could've SWORN I heard him admit that his original hopes were to be a rock star, cooler than John Mayer could ever be. Instead, he's an announcer...and friend.

Not MY friend, don't even watch his show. But, I listen, and I'm moved deeply when I hear all the potential wasted, actual talent with passion behind it...not allowable on the current playing field, as is.

It's like Earl Pomerantz being the father of a fashion designing daughter, and the Jonas brothers never mentioning what an important influence she is on their lives. Simply strange to the common viewer, plus, weird!!!

What do I know anyway, just want to get entirely in the way, or stay the hell out of it. I'm Buddhist like that.
