Advice Column

The mystical path is hard. I'm not sure why people are so quick to claim sane and logical as privileged points of view, as if those two perspectives aren't rife with their own set of fantastical thinking.

Limited by solid borders of what is and is not possible, they comfortably remind their own selves, statistics ARE who we are, standard modes of behavior the only reasonable course of action. To think, one would give up everything they love, care about, and believe in for something that exists only in their mind.

It's a bridge I admitted, a leap of understanding that helped me heal, I confessed. As a writer, perhaps, I needed to explore those parts of myself, maybe I wasn't whole there. After everything I've been through in my life, faster-than-I-would-have-hoped-for-myself adjustments, allow me the space to see things wrongly, to mix it all up. Okay, are we better then?

Can we move on? Oh wait, there's that condition. What..., imagination and creativity are conditions, exploring and excavating parts of your own spirit cross the line? It's okay, so long as you admit how out of line you were for even thinking,

for even considering, for just once imagining that the love you tapped into inside, deep in your own self, the only place it could exist...admit you were wrong for projecting that anywhere. Anywhere at all, it's illogical, and therefore insane. Come along.

But I grew! I'd have claimed it all for myself anyway, no matter what, no matter how. It's not generally done that way, is all I'm saying. And so...your point is? Just admit that I'm right, that you've seen it all wrong, and I love you. Okay then? You mean, then I'll be whole again? Yes, that's true. But I can't, I might not.

Well then...be wrong.
