...I tried. I seriously tried to craft a whole story about an exchange between ninja and Jesus that involved $300 sandals, and it's not that I got distracted. Well, that's exactly what happened actually, four of my zillion kids got up and interrupted my peace.
And so, when creativity disappears into the reality-o-sphere (actually, it's a nice blend of both realms) you decide what any ex-homeschooler would do who really, honestly wants to challenge herself to embrace this whole "morning-prayer-at-home will cover it" exchange with the secular class of emotionally and developmentally stunted youth and authoritative adult culture.
I'm gonna try it, no don't talk me out of it, I'm convinced. Okay, I was hijacked in my dreams two nights in a row by a math curriculum and a spelling book written in beautiful cursive. Had the spelling book been a poetry book, had the math curriculum been a "we love homeschoolers" branch of our local school's system...
had my dad's movie collection been more masculine (Music and Lyrics, fine...she seems nice). I'd never have tried to insist that it was a lyricist Jesus was still pissed at, but I did. I can't blame time for not cooperating, I can only blame the lack of insight I needed in that very moment. The searching gave it way, it always always does.
