Spelled that with two 'r's' for once, been bothering me for weeks now. Not that I have anything to fear about humiliating myself time and again, what's bad is when you convince yourself that the mistake needs to be made, on purpose. Like that embarass should only have one 'r', as if it somehow lessens the impact.
Why supply a word like embarrass to the public anyway, is it expected? Is it a release of unconscious energy, or honestly, a set up, maybe it keeps society balanced. Perhaps we should only have professional self-embarrassers, and then allow the rest to be stoic and right all the time. Wouldn't that be much more romantic?
I'm sure it was how the American dream was originally intended, a clear separation between those who are empowered watching others grow uncomfortable as they laugh at themselves in public. Wonder what that even sounds like, the internal "I've gotcha and your issues in the hot seat, and am enjoying it". Quite the talent to expose all the masses.
It should remain in the arena though, you know, like boxing with the President. And dear Biden, God love him and his easy-as-pie impressions (slimy salesman/poet...a breeze). I wonder sometimes what it would look like to have best friends of mine forever emblazoned in character, even after they've died. Someone who can see inside, and with ease project their memory before my eyes. Amazing and possible, wow!
Anyhow, who has time for this, gotta pick my kids up. Thanks (to you dear reader), for making the time.
