Maybe Lady Gaga knows what to do

A sure bet, or Fergie. Where can a woman get some leaders she can depend on to see clearest for awhile. It's kind of like the nurse-who-looks-forward-to-death that I met last week...totally messed with how I thought the wind would blow.

Here's me figuring I'd just be all alone in my misery, facing something gigantous, throwing up in that wind. Yuck!! Where'd that even go? You get any on you? Totally hope so.

Looking only so far ahead as to ask, "Could you keep the young nurses away from me, please? I just need mature women." It was true, so I said it. You can't imagine how freakin' annoying it is to have girls flitting in and out of your room, all happy and trying, but not quite.

I won't even speculate what the death-enjoying nurse was assuming by my request, or how it impacted her sense of well-being. None of my business, but I did regret it for a moment after I asked it. Felt it might be too much, a burden on set schedules.

It's weird, the divide between mature women and those of my thirty-something set. As much as I wanted to look her straight in the eyes, and glean all her knowledge...it was just too big of an impact. Everything she knew, and had been through.

She looked for as long as she could, each time, until I couldn't look back. This experience was going to become a deep part of their lives too, she assured me (I'd rather it didn't). They would cry with me, be changed and affected, a milestone she said.

Whew, can't believe I talked about that nurse today. I didn't intend to, but I did.
