1...2...3

This, then Parades, then favorite-colored-blog. Ain't nobody touching my growingupartists until I decide whether sharing my trip pictures is a little too self-indulgent. It's a bad situation when headshots with just the right expression win out over landscapes and familial views. Wouldn't want to go there, too embarrassing.

Being self-centered is only fun when you're trying to save the world. When you're guarding your children's souls from annihilation by the shallow, sheep-like values of broken society, when you imagine the simplest insights can have broad, sweeping implications for the rest of the world. Everything else gets categorized as ridiculous.

Been saying that in my head alot lately, practically warding it off. No, ambitiously warding it off, yet never seem to win a satisfying goal. As if. As if the world I've constructed around me, the way the truth and the life (love's a small part of it), can be disassembled or worse, taken for ungranted. Like genies rule the earth.

A little too drunk on the potion I'd have to assume, and so it goes with the uppermost echelon of the powerless. Trying to steal it from others, the last resort in a society where standing on people's heads and shoulders is the only sure way to view the darkness of each other's souls, and decide who gets the trophy. Or is it called an award these days?
